This scheme encourages MSMEs to adopt green practices and environmental audits to enhance sustainability. Eligible MSMEs can receive assistance to implement eco-friendly systems and processes that help protect the environment.
1. Eligible Enterprises
MSMEs already operational and intending to adopt green practices within their business operations are eligible for this assistance.
2. Quantum of Assistance
The following incentives are available under the scheme:

1 | Periodic Environmental Audits (excluding those mandated by law or court order) | Up to 75% of audit fees, with a ceiling of Rs. 50,000 per audit, available once during the scheme’s operative period. |
2 | Installation of Continuous Stack Emission Monitoring System (CSEMS) or online effluent quality monitoring system with GPCB/CETP connectivity | Up to 25% of the system cost or Rs. 5 lakhs, whichever is lower, available once during the scheme’s operative period. |
3 | Green Building Certification for Industrial Buildings (over 2,000 sq m) | Up to 50% of consulting fees or Rs. 2.5 lakhs, whichever is lower, for obtaining green certification from IGBC, LEED, or GRIHA. |
4 | Setting up of Environment Management System and Laboratory | Up to 50% of equipment cost, with a ceiling of Rs. 10 lakhs, available once during the scheme’s operative period. |
5 | Purchase of New Equipment for Safety, Health, and Environmental Compliance (for clusters of 10+ units) | Up to 35% of equipment/system cost, with a ceiling of Rs. 35 lakhs per cluster. |
6 | Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) for Wastewater Recovery | Up to 50% one-time capital subsidy on ZLD equipment/system cost, with a ceiling of Rs. 75 lakhs, as certified by GPCB, available once during the scheme’s operative period. |
This scheme supports MSMEs in making environmentally responsible upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and sustainability standards.
