The Atma Nirbhar Gujarat Scheme supports large industries and the thrust sector with a variety of incentives aimed at fostering industrial growth and expansion across Gujarat. Here are the key benefits:
1. Assistance of Interest Subsidy
Quantum of Interest Subsidy:
Eligible industries can receive an interest subsidy on term loans at 7%, with varying durations and limits based on the taluka category and sector.
- Category 1 Talukas
- General Sector: 7% interest subsidy for 10 years, up to 1% of Eligible Fixed Capital Investment (eFCI) per annum.
- Thrust Sector: 7% interest subsidy for 10 years, up to 1.2% of eFCI per annum.
- Category 2 Talukas
- General Sector: 7% interest subsidy for 8 years, up to 1% of eFCI per annum.
- Thrust Sector: 7% interest subsidy for 10 years, up to 1% of eFCI per annum.
- Category 3 Talukas
- General Sector: 7% interest subsidy for 6 years, up to 1% of eFCI per annum.
- Thrust Sector: 7% interest subsidy for 8 years, up to 1% of eFCI per annum.
- A minimum of 2% interest must be borne by the business for each term loan. If a subsidy is also received from the Government of India, the state subsidy will ensure the business bears at least 2% interest.
2. Net SGST Reimbursement
Quantum of Incentive:
Eligible large industrial units are entitled to net SGST reimbursement based on the taluka category and sector, with a ceiling for up to 10 years, beginning from the start of commercial production.
- Category 1 Talukas
- General Sector: 100% of net SGST, up to 7.5% of eFCI per annum.
- Thrust Sector: 100% of net SGST, up to 8% of eFCI per annum.
- Category 2 Talukas
- General Sector: 90% of net SGST, up to 6.5% of eFCI per annum.
- Thrust Sector: 90% of net SGST, up to 7% of eFCI per annum.
- Category 3 Talukas
- General Sector: 80% of net SGST, up to 5% of eFCI per annum.
- Thrust Sector: 80% of net SGST, up to 5.5% of eFCI per annum.
3. Reimbursement of EPF Contributions
Quantum of Incentive:
Eligible units can claim reimbursement of the employer’s contribution to EPF for new employees in Gujarat for up to 10 years from the commencement of commercial production.
- Covers 100% of the employer’s EPF contribution, with a cap at 12% of the employee’s basic salary, Dearness Allowance (DA), and retaining allowance, or INR 1,800 per month, whichever is lower.
4. Electricity Duty Exemption
Large industrial undertakings are eligible for an exemption from Electricity Duty as applicable under the Gujarat Electricity Act, 2003.
